Worddidac India 2012A three day Global Education and Skill Summit 2012 was held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from September 19 and it concluded yesterday. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was also a partner in the organization of this International education event. CBSE had asked the affiliated schools to participate in the summit.

The summit was organized to brainstorm and arrive at viable solutions to revamp education and training sectors in India. Accordingly it addressed various relevant topics like quality in education and training, importance of investing in technology, teachers training, teaching-learning resources, comprehensive curriculum, VET, academic and administrative governance structure and practices and optimal use of ICT for the same.

One of the major attractions of the conference was the fourth edition of international exhibition ‘WORLDDIDAC INDIA 2012′. The exhibition serves as a comprehensive platform to meet and interact with executives & decision makers from education & training institutes globally, showcase advanced & innovative solutions and assist in implementing concepts and enhancing their educational standards & practices. The event serves as an ideal stage to tap the Asian market and network across continents with educators & those from the educational supplies & training industry.

The event is partnered by the Worlddidac Association and supported by British Education Suppliers Association (BESA) and DIDACTA, Germany. In India, the event is supported by all prominent ministries of the Government of India and various trade bodies & associations.

The CBSE believes such exhibitions will help open a window of opportunity for all stakeholders to grow together. The board has been constantly trying to upgrade its system and bring it at par with other countries.
